Putz still Closer Rafael Soriano to 1st in line in place of Mark Lowe Mark Lowe to 2nd in line in place of George Sherrill Soriano has 3 scoreless outings since coming back from the DL and a shoulder injury. On the season the 26-year-old has a 1.06 WHIP in 54+ IP with 60 K, 14 holds and 2 saves. Lowe is currently day to day with elbow injury. Calero is having a solid season with a 1.17 WHIP and 2.72 ERA in 46+ IP with 52 K and 18 holds. Toronto Blue Jays B.J. Ryan still Closer Jeremy Accardo to 1st in line in place of Justin Speier Brandon League to 2nd in line in place of Jeremy Accardo League pitched 4 hitless innings on Monday to earn his first career save in a 7-1 game; 4 IP 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, (Spot starter Brian Tallet only went 2+ innings). The hard throwing rookie has decent future closer value and has solid numbers over 11 outings; 1.00 WHIP and 2.81 ERA in 16 IP with 11 K and 3 holds. Speier was placed on the DL yesterday with an injured forearm. Former Giant, Accardo is riding a 6 game scoreless appearance streak and has a 1.22 WHIP in 51+ IP with 46 K, 8 holds and 3 saves on the season. The 24-year-old rookie was once 5 years younger and known as Adriano Rosario. Pena had a 0.90 WHIP in 46+ AA/AAA IP prior to his call up with 38 K and 13 saves. Davis could be next in line after picking up a save last week in between Carmona's bad outings.
