Miller has a 1.39 WHIP on the season in 36+ IP with 36 K and 7 holds. Pinto has a 1.38 WHIP on the season in 42+ IP with 36 K and 11 holds. The 25-year-old lefthander is surprisingly better versus righthander hitters 546 opposition OPS, than left .799 opposition OPS. CINCINNATI REDS Francisco Cordero still Closer Jared Burton to 1st in line in place of David Weathers David Weathers to 2nd in line in place of Jared Burton Burton pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn his 4th win of the season yesterday in a 6-5 final. The 27-year-old righthander has built some future closer value this year with 44 K in 41+ IP along with a 1.26 WHIP and 7 holds. Weathers has a 1.62 WHIP on the season in 30+ IP with 19 K and 7 holds. LOS ANGELES DODGERS Takashi Saito still Closer Jonathan Broxton still 1st in line Hong-Chih Kuo to 2nd in line in place of Scott Proctor Proctor was placed on the DL with an elbow injury yesterday, which may help explain his struggles this year; 1.83 WHIP and 6.82 ERA. Kuo has been dominant in a long relief role this year and has recently moved up to a setup role picking up his first 2 holds. The 26-year-old lefthander has a 1.00 WHIP in 46 IP with 55 K on the season. BOSTON RED SOX Jonathan Papelbon still Closer Manny Delcarmen to 1st in line in place of Hideki Okajima lhp Hideki Okajima to 2nd in line in place of Manny Delcarmen Delcarmen pitched a perfect, 2 strikeout 8th inning to earn his 11th hold of the season last night. The 26-year-old righthander has a current 11 game scoreless appearance streak and has a 1.19 WHP on the season in 32 IP with 31 K. Okajima hasn't been as impressive this year as his rookie campaign. The 32-year-old lefthander has a 1.33 WHIP in 33 IP with 33 K and 14 holds on the season. The former Japanese leaguer has been scored on in 4 of his 9 June outings with 9 runs allowed and 16 hits in 8 June innings. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 SEATTLE MARINERS Brandon Morrow still Closer Arthur Rhodes to 1st in line in place of Miguel Batista Miguel Batista to 2nd in line in place of Mark Lowe Rhodes struck out the final 2 batters to record his 1st save of the season yesterday in a 5-2 final. Morrow was still unavailable with a back injury, but he could return today. Rhodes has a 1.66 WHIP in 12+ IP on the season with 16 K and 6 holds.
